Former Strathalbyn runner Alex Twartz will compete in his fourth national athletics championships this month after qualifying for the Open 800m and 1500m.
Twartz, who has been training under the guidance of former Olympics coach David Fryer, qualified for both events at the SA State Championships, winning the 800m race in a time of 1:50.1 and finishing with a time of 3:50.1 in the 1500m.
