BONES FOUND: Investigation under way at Strathalbyn property

Hills Fleurieu Police are investigating a shocking discovery of bones on a Strathalbyn property.

At about 2.30pm on Friday, June 9, police were called to a house on Paris Creek Road after reports that bones had been found in a backyard.

Forensic investigators attended and examined the scene.

A scene guard was established and this morning, Saturday June 10, detectives and forensic investigators re-attended and are searching the area, with assistance from STAR Group officers, SES volunteers and local patrols.

Police advised that Paris Creek Road Strathalbyn had to be closed at the intersection of Schmidt Road and Blackburn Boulevard due to the police incident, with alternative routes via Macclesfield or Bull Creek in place.
