Caravan park gives back to community through donation

1 min read

Strathalbyn Caravan Park has been added to Santa’s nice list, among other generous businesses, by donating $500 to the upcoming Christmas Where the Angas Flows event.

Thousands of people will gather at Strathalbyn’s Soldiers Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 16 for the 46th annual Christmas celebration, including pageant, markets and fireworks.

Christmas Where the Angas Flows committee member Craig Maidment thanked the local caravan park for the latest donation being put towards the much-loved event.

“It is a great community event recovering from Covid, as we haven’t had the event for quite a few years,” he said.

“We are encouraging everyone to come out and have an enjoyable time in the spirit of Christmas.”

The local councillor encouraged other businesses to give back to those who support them.

“We would dearly love more funds – the more funding we get, the bigger the show and the more entertainment we can provide,” Cr Maidment explained.

“It is all free, that’s the whole idea, but people are able to buy their own food and support the local businesses that will be open on the night.

“Contact any of the committee members if you’re interested in providing sponsorship.”

Those interested in making a donation to the community event may do so via the Christmas Where the Angas Flows Facebook page or by calling 0429 936 598.
