Strathalbyn Probus Combined Club is welcoming new members to join its monthly meetings, coffees catch-ups and outings.
Member Jan Pinchbeck said the club of retirees find “fun, friendship and fellowship” with one another.
“We’re always after new members,” she said.
“It’s more for retired men and women to come along and have some fellowship.
“For some members, it’s their only outing for the month; they really look forward to it.”

Member John Fox enjoys meeting and making friendships, and having fun and camaraderie with others.
“(The club is) entertainment, it’s getting people out of their limited accommodation when they’re getting older,” he said.
Since its inception in 1984, the club has had 31 presidents and started accepting women in 2019.
Today, the club of 40 members meets at Catholic Church Hall on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9.45am to noon.
Meetings include a morning tea, guest speakers and ‘show and tell’ from one of the members.
Monthly coffee meetings are often held at Jack’s High St Cafe & Bakery.
Members join several outings during the year, such as a boat cruise and lunch at Captain Proud Paddle Boat Cruises, Monarto Zoo, Gilbert Motor Museum and Paech’s Farm, Wistow.
The club recently celebrated Probus Day with a scenic trip via Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend to Wellington, having lunch at the hotel and visiting Pangarinda Botanic Garden, where volunteers gave members a tour of the native plants and history of the gardens.
