Council backs down on speed review for Strathalbyn centre

A lack of community support has deterred Alexandrina Council from reducing the speed limit around Strathalbyn’s town centre.

As previously reported in The Southern Argus, council resolved to investigate the possible introduction of a 40km/h speed zone in the Strathalbyn town centre in December 2023 after local councillor Craig Maidment pushed for the reductions due to safety concerns.
