Local bird watchers’ advice for hooded plover breeding season

As hooded plovers enter nesting and breeding season, residents are being reminded to take care on local beaches, and are encouraged to put up their hand to volunteer.

The hooded plover program – co-ordinated by Green Adelaide and Birdlife Australia – started more than 15 years ago to address declining numbers of the species, considered to be the most vulnerable beach-nesting bird.
