Almost a lifetime in the emergency services officially came to end for local councillor and community member Michael Scott last week when he retired from the state’s ambulance service as one of its longest serving volunteers.
The Middleton resident started his journey with the ambulance service more than 50 years ago in February 1968 at the Victor Harbor station.
