Mount Barker apiarist protecting local bees

A local beekeeper is pleading for more understanding of bees, as the weather warms up and the likelihood of swarms becomes more common.

Mount Barker’s Nathan Brown became a beekeeper about five years ago, and is passionate about helping what he terms “homeless little people”.

He now travels from McLaren Vale to Tailem Bend relocating bees to safer homes.
