Remembering local flooding history

Local residents are being encouraged to create a flood plan just like they would for a bushfire on the 100th anniversary of a major Strathalbyn flood.

On September 27, 1923, a wild and wintery day, and a downpour in the Hills towards Macclesfield resulted in the highest flood ever known in the history of Strathalbyn at that time, which came down the Angas and creeks.
