Strathalbyn resident Roma Gale has lived through a century of history, and last Wednesday celebrated her 100th birthday.
Mrs Gale was born in the Mallee town of Pinnaroo to Alexander and Ida Hawthorne on February 7, 1924, and was the first girl after three boys - Glen, Allan and Ray.
