Unseasonable weather conditions pelted the region on Saturday, seeing much of the Hills/Fleurieu region underwater after record-breaking rainfall.
What started as a deep rumble turned into more than 423,000 lightning strikes across the state, leaving many in darkness, and others with a costly clean-up as flash flooding rushed through towns including Milang, Ashbourne, Goolwa and Middleton.
