SteamRanger was inundated with messages of support and sympathy since the fatal crash at McCracken last week.
The incident occurred during the train’s final journey of the day from Goolwa, when emergency services were called to Hayward Street, just north of Victor Harbor, after a pedestrian was struck on January 4 at about 3.20pm.
Sadly, an 87-year-old man from overseas, died at the scene.
