Dynamic duo: Strathalbyn name Best and Fairests at girls’ medal count

U14 Girls award recipients: Chloe Bailey (Coaches Award), Poppy Groom (Most Improved), Lacey Willsmore (B&F), Quba Verwey (Runner-up B&F), and Jypsi Murphy (Defender of the Year).

Making it back-to-back Best and Fairest wins, Lacey Willsmore and Marley Tape took out the top gong in their respective teams at Strathalbyn Football Club’s medal count last Thursday.

About 100 people filled the clubrooms to celebrate the Under 14 Girls and Under 17 Girls efforts this season, and acknowledge several players who displayed excellent sportsmanship and skill.
