Competitors and their furry companions will soon travel to Strathalbyn for the town’s first yard dog trial.
The competition simulates the work often undertaken by a working sheep dog and many of the handlers are farmers themselves.
Together, they negotiate sheep through a course within 10 minutes, starting with 100 points, which can be deducted based on a set of rules.
