A car accident more than six decades ago turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it connected Jan and Graham Pinchbeck who are now celebrating their milestone 60-year wedding anniversary today, February 27.
At the time, on the way from McLaren Vale to Bordertown, 16-year-old Jan rolled the car on Flaxley Road which was slippery with oil from a recent accident.
