The Fleurieu Community Co-operative in charge of the Strathalbyn Abattoir redevelopment has gone into voluntary administration, putting the future of the project in doubt.
The abattoir closed in December 2020 when former operators Strath Pastoral ceased trading, but was reinvigorated by the Fleurieu Community Co-operative, who undertook a $3.5 million restoration of the site.
